All night, Cameron ran through my mind. He’d been scared of
me. He’d preferred that stranger over me. My son was scared of me. I looked
towards the darkened bathroom. With a heavy sigh, I eased my aching body up
into a sitting position.

Gen. 5: Matthew Solo-Ch. 27
Happy New Year!!!! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and amazing year. I am so ashamed that my last post for this story has now been over a year ago (12/29/16). 2017 was crazy and I neglected my sims. My goal for this year is to strike a better balance between my author life and my sims life. To start the year off right, I'm kicking off with a new update!
Enjoy!

What's Keeping Me Away
I need to start out with an apology for being away so long. I can't believe it's been nearly a year since I've posted here. My stories aren't dead, they were simply put on an unexpected, and longer than imagined hiatus.

Gen. 5: Matthew Solo-Ch. 25
Again I'm a day late with this, but maybe it'll just become a thing. LOL
As Life Goes is 3 as of yesterday. I can't believe it's been that long.
I never expected this story to grow like it has.
I've enjoyed writing it the last 3 years and
look forward to continuing it for more years to come.
Thanks for all the support over the last 3 years!
Lydia
Every morning I woke up, I feared the day before had been a
dream, but as I checked my surroundings I was indeed still in a real room, with
a real bed, in a real house. Without a doubt the nicest house I’d ever stayed
in.

I ran my
hands down the front of the frumpy top in a vain attempt to smooth out some of
the wrinkles. This was the last outfit I’d gotten from the shelter that wasn’t
worn out. I kept it for special occasions, like going into places to fill out
applications.
