Going Solo: Grace Gen 4.25

***You are cordially invited to the wedding of Jonas Solo and Grace Gruber.
Please be sure to visit the wedding album for more shots of the happy couple***

I was getting married today. I couldn't believe it. Mom and Hope helped with the planning. Jonas and I wanted something outside since we both had a love of nature, however taking my family into consideration we opted for an indoor venue that made it feel like we were outside. Forever Green Garden House was a beautiful venue located about thirty minutes outside of Barnacle Bay.

It gave us the best of both worlds. We planned for a spring wedding so the flowers would all be in bloom. With Hope taking control of the wedding planning, my small wedding had turned into a major production. Jonas had joked we should have just ran off to Vegas or something. Caleb's niece Starr was our photographer. It was great Uncle Nick was her boss, giving her the time off was no trouble at all. She'd been busy taking shots of all the decorations around the location, and was busy snapping candid shots now. She's already invaded the guys. I couldn't wait to see those pictures.

Jonas' grandmother and great-grandfather made the trip out. I was happy he had someone from his family here. Wilson had even brought along Deliha Burnbright. She was the witch that blessed the potion. I was looking forward to talking to her later and thanking her in person for what she'd done.

"Let me say thanks again for not picking ugly dresses," Erin said giving me a hug.

"You know I wouldn't do that, but more importantly Hope wouldn't let me do that even if I wanted," I replied smiling at my baby sister.

"Grace, honey you look beautiful," Mom said giving me a peck on the cheek.

"Thanks Mom."

"Yeah Gracie, I bet Jonas' jaw will drop when he sees you."

"Thanks. Were you two this nervous?"

"Of course, but it was all excited nerves."

"There are so many people. What if I trip, or forget my vows?"

"You will be fine. Just keep your eyes focused on Jonas and nothing else will matter," Mom said, giving me an encouraging smile.

Eyes on Jonas. I could do that. We'd continued to live together sleeping in separate bedrooms. After the night of our engagement I'd thought about bringing the subject up, but I'd always chicken out. I could talk to him about anything, but that. Tonight, however, I was going to have to face my fears one way or another. There was a knock at the door and Dad walked in.

"All of my girls, so gorgeous. Grace, you look so grown up. So beautiful. I don't care if you and your sisters keep insisting on growing up. You'll always be my little girl."

"Aww Daddy. You're gonna make me cry and then Hope will get mad you ruined her make-up job."

Dad escorted me from the room and the closer we got the more nervous I became. I took a deep breath and looked towards the alter where Jonas waited.

Just focus on him. I managed to make it to the alter without tripping over my dress. When the officiate asked who was giving me away, Dad made sure to say he was merely sharing me, not giving me away then he kissed my cheek and went to sit with Mom who was already in tears. My stomach was in knots. There were way too many people and they were all looking at me. I should have just gone to Vegas. Jonas smiled and took my hands. I can do this. I kept my eyes on Jonas through all the introduction parts, then it was time for the vows.

"I've measured my life in moments. Some bad. Some terrifying. Some sad.
And some good. The moment I met you was initially scary but I learned
that some moments last longer than others. That's what your
moment has done. Stumbling over my own two feet into
your arms changed the course of my life, I just didn't know it at the time.
The moment I met you has proven to be one continuously great moment of my life.
Thank you for your patience and your understanding.
Jonas Solo today I take you has my husband. I vow to be an honest and faithful wife.
I vow to stand by your side through the ups and the downs for as long as we both shall live."

"Grace, from the moment I first saw you, you managed to make
a huge impact on my life. I'd believed I would never love again,
but you made it impossible not to. Being allowed within your world
is an honor and a privilege I will be forever grateful to have.
You are an amazing person and I am lucky to be able to call you wife.
Grace Gruber today I take you as my wife. I vow to be an honest and faithful husband.
To cherish and love you everyday and to stand by your side
through all that life throws our way for as long as we both shall live."

He slipped the ring on my finger and we sealed our vows with a kiss. I was married.

The reception was great. Jonas and I shared our first dance as husband and wife. He got big applause for his dip kiss finish.

Hope only embarrassed me slightly with her toast to us. I got a chance to talk to Deliha, and thank her for her help. She was very nice and was happy to see her work have just lovely results. Jonas even took to the dance floor with Mom.

And of course there was cake.

We mingled, laughed, danced, and had a great time.

At the end of the night we said our goodbyes and the limo took us to our hotel for the night. Jonas wanted to go somewhere special for the wedding night before we flew out for Monte Vista in the morning. Since I'd told him how much I loved going for Hope's wedding, he surprised me with tickets for our honeymoon.

The day had been amazing and now it was my wedding night and I stood terrified behind the locked bathroom door.

I'd told myself I was ready for this. Hope and Mom had even both given me a pep talk. Then I looked at the outfits Hope had packed for me. She didn't pack a single thing that fully covered me, instead they were all barely there nighty things that left nothing to the imagination.

There was a knock on the door. "Grace are you okay?"

"I...um..."

"Grace, please open the door."

"I can't."

"Please."

I hated the hurt sound in his voice. I was ruining our wedding night. Grabbing one of the hotel robes off the hook, I made sure the sash was secure, took a deep breath and prayed he wasn't naked when I opened the door. He was dressed! That was a small relief.

He smiled when he saw me. "There's my beautiful bride."

"I'm sorry. I know you are probably expecting all that goes with a wedding night...but...I, I..."

He stepped closer, kissing me on the forehead."I do want to express my love for you intimately, to share that with you, but not until you are wanting the same thing. If you are not ready to take that step, we won't. Problem solved. I would like to not sleep on the couch if you think that is possible. Falling asleep, holding you in my arms, well I've been waiting on that pleasure for a long time."

I nodded. "I...I think I can do that."

It was a little weird to have him next to me, but comforting at the same time.

The week in Monte Vista was amazing. We stayed at this quaint little villa right outside of town.

We took a romantic gondola ride, did wine tasting, and ate at amazing restaurants. Each day we did something amazing and each night was spent like the first, us falling asleep after watching TV or something.

Tonight was our last night and we'd be heading home. I'd been married a week and still hadn't done anything more than kiss my husband. Last night I woke up to the sound of running water and learned he'd needed to take a cold shower and it wasn't the first time. Apparently as much as he enjoyed sleeping with me, it sometimes became 'uncomfortable' for him. Jonas didn't complain, or even try to bring up the subject. Instead, he took cold showers in the middle of the night so he wouldn't freak me out. I felt like such a failure. I was married to probably the most understanding man on the planet and he deserved a wife that didn't have this problem. Digging through my bag, I found one of the outfits Hope had packed. Jonas was in the living room getting a movie ready for us to watch.

I darted into the bathroom and put on the light blue lace nighty. This was so not me, but I resisted the urge to take it off and put on my normal PJs instead. I let my hair down so that it tumbled around my shoulders. I was nervous, but needed to do this. The night of our wedding, he'd said he wanted to express his love intimately. He loved me. He wasn't taking, I was giving. Everything he'd shown me about life and love had been wonderful. There was no reason this wouldn't be the same.

"Grace, movie's ready."

It was now or never. I stepped out of the bathroom and walked the short distance to the living room. His back was to me, I still had time to back out, but instead I cleared my throat to get his attention.

"Um...maybe...well...I was thinking we...we could skip the movie."

Jonas didn't say anything at first. He just sat there and stared at me. His eyes lingered on my now exposed cleavage before traveling down the length of my body before making it back up to my face. He got off the couch and crossed the short distance to me. "Grace...wow...you are just...wow!"

The way he looked at me was different; intense. I felt my face heat up as his eyes roamed over my exposed flesh.

"I'm sorry for making you wait, but I...I'm ready."

"Is this because of the cold shower thing? Because I'm fine, I promise."

"That...that did bother me. But...it's more. I mean we're married, and I know you, what we'd do, what we'd share would be different. I want that. I need that. To know the good side."

"Are you sure because you have to be sure. One hundred percent sure."

I nodded. "I'm sure. I want this experience with you."

His lips were on mine, kissing me in a way he'd not done before. His other kisses, they always managed to take my breath away, but this kiss was more...passionate? Instead of keeping his hands on my waist or face, they ventured away from safe zones and I felt them cup my butt, pressing my body closer to his.

He was ready! That was what his cold showers tried to hide. I panicked a little, but that feeling went away as new ones, strange ones took over.

Jonas picked me up and carried me to the bed.

He looked down at me. "Say stop."

Confusion riddled me. "What?"

"Say it."

"Stop."

"Again."

"Stop."

He smiled. "Good. If at anytime this is too much for you, stop is the magic word. It doesn't matter when understand? If you want to stop, we stop."

I nodded before he kissed me again. Like in everything Jonas had done towards me, he was sweet, and patient and made me feel things I'd never known possible.

I didn't use the magic word and had the most amazing night of my life.

**A/N**
The wedding venue was NOT made by me. It's called the Fairy House by Arda. The name is rather fitting don't you think? LOL Of course if you download it, your version won't look like this because my friend Daijah converted it from a house into the beautiful Forever Green Garden House wedding venue for me.

Thank you to Piazzagirl1015 for the use of the McIntyre family. Starr took some great photos.

To Shafer249 for allowing Dehlia to come to the wedding. Grace was very grateful for her contribution. And lastly, but not least to Vuneca for the use of Wind, Wilson, and of course Jonas!

The pregnant woman in the red dress is Cheryl Swartz, Carter's fiancee and soon to be baby momma. Hopefully SP will marry just as quickly as it did everything else.

  2. What a beautiful wedding and honeymoon. I loved every bit of it. The pictures in the wedding album were simply amazing and I can't even pick out of favorite because I love each and every one for different reasons. You did an amazing job with the wedding vows, so romantic and true to the characters personalities.

Grace made a beautiful bride and I loved her dress. I always thought Grace was a beautiful sim and I have to say she was simply gorgeous from the wedding all the way to the last shot with her hair down.

Jonas a sweetheart all the way through, I loved the patience he had and he gave Grace all the time that she needed. I know he would have waited long and I can understand how he did not want to take that step until she was fully ready for it. Eventually she was but he made sure she knew he would stop anytime she was ready.

Couple is happily married, now its time for some babies!

    1. Thanks. Glad all the stress and headache was worth it. The day did turn out well and the happy couple deserved nothing but the best. Shoot the pics for the wedding album were so much fun, especially the fairy poses I used. They just looked so happy.

Grace did get an amazing mix of both her parents. I loved that she got Cora's eyes since that's what I first noticed about her at Uni. Seeing her with her hair down changed her look a lot. It has always been up, but I thought having it down for that moment added to the change she was ready to make.

Jonas is a great guy. No way was he going to pressure her ever. He would have waited for as long as necessary for her to be comfortable with the idea of sex. Even when she did say she was ready, he still wanted her to know she was running the show and things would stop at any point. Having that reassurance, plus being with someone she loves made everything better.

Yes couple is married, babies next chapter.

      thanks for reading

  3. What a beautiful wedding! Beautiful bride and handsome Groom. But more importantly one big happy family attending. Loved it all and very well worth the wait. It seems Nick needs a tissue. All the touches were just perfect right down to Jonas's patience's with her on the wedding night. Very well in character as always. This is such a wonderful chapter. Now let's see Grace in the pregnancy stage and then that baby. Oh, wow Delilah looks very pretty in this universe. : ) I approve. Amazing what cc hair and dresses can do. Dee says, she's very welcome. Wonderful chapter can't wait for the next.

    1. It was an amazing day and the happy couple deserved no less. Grace's family had to be there of course and Jonas' family is small, but welcomed Grace in with open arms. It was funny the guys did all the crying. Nick, Davis, heck even Wilson hahahaha.

Like Hope told her the night she got engaged, Jonas has never pushed the issue, nor would he ever. If it took her months to be okay with the idea he would have taken ice baths. hahahaha In the end it all worked out and she moved forward at her pace which made it even more special. The baby is coming I promise.

Aww, I'm glad you approve of her mini make over. New hair, I notice, makes a world of difference on a sim. I'm glad she was able to attend.

THAT VENUE IS LIKE INSANELY BEAUTIFUL. LIKE SERIOUSLY! I'M LIKE IN AWE! LIKE HOW CAN ANYONE EVER TOP THAT?
I'm writing with "like" so you know I'm not in my right mind with how gorgeous it is!

    1. That venue is amazing. Thank DJ, she found it months back and I was lucky enough to remember it (seriously I forget a lot of shit!) and thought it would be perfect for Grace and Jonas. It's really a house, but DJ worked her magic and turned it into the wedding venue you saw!

I don't think there will be a couple that can top them. Everything else will be downhill from there. LOL Those two had the best romance and it was topped off with the fairytale type wedding! I thought I would have a hard time topping Davis and Cora, but Grace and Jonas blew them away.

      thanks for reading.

  5. woohoo she finally got to see the good side of being intimate and had a beautiful wedding as well. I can't wait to see her and Jonas's baby! I hope the bad things are behind for her because she deserves to be happy.

    1. yes she did. She's been scared of that for good reason, but she finally realized things with Jonas would be much different. She was ready to take that step, to reclaim that stolen piece of her life.

Should be all happy times from here on out as her gen should be coming to a close.

      thanks for reading

    1. Thanks! My friend DJ did a great job converting it, but even has a house it's a beautiful location. I had so much fun taking the shots for their wedding. After all they both have gone through, they deserved the fairytale wedding!

      thanks for reading.

  7. This morning, I got hit with a tidal wave of depression. Of all things, it hit me when I was doing something that makes me happy, playing sims. So, I stopped playing and wondered if I should sit and write instead with my free time. I couldn't put two thoughts together. So, I decided to read, but what? Your legacy came to mind; I thought of Grace. And I knew I was dreadfully behind. You know why.

Well, this morning, I read a chunk, and I'm going to pause at this happy moment. Thank you for pulling me out of this dark blue feeling with your entertaining writing. :)

    1. :( I'm glad Grace's story brought you a moment of happiness. She went through a lot, but in the end got her happily ever after. :D This is a good stopping point for you for the day. Not that she has anything bad happen for the rest of her gen, but the wedding chapter was sweet, heck it still brings a smile to my face. :)

      thanks for reading.

  9. I'm really happy for Grace. After everything she has been through, she found herself again, instead of being that scared teenager she once was, she grew, and blossomed, and when she finally decided she could experience the good side of it, I was so proud of her that she realized there even was a good side to it. ♥

    1. Yep, it took her a while but she finally has reached that 'normal' status she was after. She found love and happiness, something she never imagined she'd have. Jonas was patient and let her set the pace on the intimacy and it worked out great for both of them in the end. :)

      thanks for reading
