With age comes wisdom and regret. Or at least that's how it is for Matt. Now that he has reached elder status and facing his mortality, he is rethinking his life. That thought process seems to be directed at his daughter. Kerri was getting to know her father finally and I was happy for that. He would come over just to hang out, or help her with her homework even though she really didn't need it.
The biggest thing was he taught her to drive. I was going to send her to one of those schools, but he said he wanted to do it. He was patient with her and she passed with flying colors.
He bought her a car to celebrate her accomplishment. Lenny was spending the night at my house more often and I didn't mind, but I did wonder why. I talked to Kerri about it to make sure she was ok with it, and she said she didn't really care.
He did come over late one night and was very upset. He told me that he was having financial problems and was being evicted from his apartment. I told him not to worry, and that he could stay with me until he got back on his feet. I did ask why he didn't go to Deidre, and he said they broke up. I wanted to push and find out why he was so in debt, but I figured that conversation could wait until a later time. I knew he was still working so hopefully he would be able to get things straightened out with his finances soon.
The summer festival was in town and Kerri and I made plans to go as usual. Lenny was going to stay home, he didn't want to intrude, but Kerri invited him to join us. We had fun, took pictures and Kerri won a hotdog eating contest.
Afterwards she started to not feel so well, so Lenny took her home and I headed over to the tattoo parlor. I don't know why I felt I needed to get body ink at my age, but it was a feeling that lingered with me since I aged up.
I didn't want anything too crazy, so settled for two intertwining roses to symbolize Kerri and I. I was very happy with the results.
***Ok first YAY Ansley finally is at level 9 of the charisma skill. Honestly that fast learner LTR SUCKS!!! Her progress bar moves at a snails pace, it's crazy.
Also I know it's against the 'rules' to have Lenny in the house, but since we are nearing the end of Ansley's gen I thought it would be fun for the story. She has been nursing wants to date him and get married (not to him just in general). He's not a roommate because I like to have more control LOL, but I don't control him much. He does his own thing most of the time. He really was having money trouble according to SP he was in debt and when I clicked on his house he had 0 in household funds. Guess those cats ate him out of house and home LOL.***
Aww Matt! He is really turning it around now. Good to see! He bought her a car so that helps!
ReplyDeleteLenny moving in!? I wonder for how long that will be heh. As for the rules I say Buck the Fules!
He's an elder now and his legacy will live on in Kerri. He should get to know her and make up for those lost years. And she's happy to get to know her father so a win-win.
ReplyDeleteYes Lenny is moving in. Funny you should ask how long it lasts...interesting game play I had over the weekend. Need to get shots sorted out but it should be fun. And the creator of this challenge is really lax with the rules. Plus I waited until close to the end of Ansley's gen before moving him in.
So what happened to the cats? Are they all strays now?
ReplyDeleteGlad Matt is spending time with Kerri.
I worry about what the problem is that Lenny has.
I was wondering about the cats too!
Deletethe cats were deleted (sorry) I moved him out and I left them on my clipboard and allowed the game to swallow them up. It was really crazy how many he had in a studio apartment.
DeleteYes Matt is coming around now to spend time with his daughter. :) Not sure what happened to Lenny's money. Poor guy was broke.
It's about time Matt has an interest in Kerri.
ReplyDeleteLenny was in debt from the cats or Deidre or .... hopefully not a casino thing. ick.
Fun legacy :)
with age comes wisdom right????
Deletethose damn cats...I tell ya they were putting him in the poor house LOL
glad you are enjoying it
Noo! The cats! :O :(
ReplyDeleteI think the rules are mostly against live0in mates because the parent is supposed to raise the child by themselves. Kerri is a teenager now, as far as the game is concerned there's no more raising left to do by that stage, so technically Lenny can't help with that aspect :P
LOL the cats. Man those things were deleted LOL
DeleteI fudge the rules. What can I say, I'm a rebel LOL. I am trying to stick to the rules as much as possible, but I need more to help make my stories interesting.
thanks for reading.
What in the world... Lenny. I hope he doesn't have a wierd gambling, alcohol, or drug problem that's eating him out of house and home. *cringes* LOL, I guess his 6 cats got to him or something, too much kitty litter to buy, perhaps? Hahaha.
ReplyDeleteYay Level 9 of charisma! LOL, I know you've done this challenge already and passed that needing to get to Level 10 of it, haha, but good job anyway. XD When I had Max in his acting career, I swear, I just ignored that part of it cause it was driving me nuts. He did get to Level 10 of the movie job, even without charisma being very high, I think his was at 5 when he made it to Level 10 of his acting. LOL.
Aww, Matt, that's nice of him to teach Kerri how to drive. Probably made it easier on Ansley honestly, she didn't have to do that for Kerri. Heh, even though I'm sure she wouldn't have minded doing it, she's a good mom.
Something put Lenny in the poor house. It could very well have been the kitty litter. LOL
DeleteYep, finally level 9. It took forever! I guessed she might have been able to advance without it, but since I'm trying to actually play I suffered through getting her there. :( I have sense learned to make better use of the LTRs and buy them to help out when I can.
Yep, Matt is finally becoming more of a father to her and Kerri loves it. Ansley could have done it or hell he could have paid for her to take driving lessons, but Matt is trying to be fatherly now. Ansley has turned out to be a good mom and found a balance with work and parenthood.
