The next night Jonas called again to tell me good night instead of texting. Over the next few days it became part of my routine. Vor and I would work in the garden, then we'd work on reenforcing his training. Jonas would text me twice and call me at night. The conversations were never that long, just a short recap of our day. He threw that routine off by calling me in the morning one day.

"Hello."

"Good morning, Grace. How are you?"

"Fine I guess. Just finished breakfast."

"So...sorry for interrupting but I just had an interesting visit from a guy that says he's your father."

Today was my wedding day. Everything had been planned. I never thought I'd have a day like this, but now that it was here, I understood why Mom and Sha were so damned excited. Cora and the girls got up early to meet Mom and Sha at the spa. Dad was coming over later with Nick so we could get ready. Until then, I spent some rare quiet time doing some uninterrupted gaming. Yes I said gaming. Living with three females left me very little time to do this.

The next day was the girls' birthday. Mom, Sha, and Dad all offered congratulations to Cora and I. The girls were very excited when they heard we were getting married.  Cora and I were excited, but didn't want to overshadow the girls' day. I couldn't believe so much time had passed. My little girls, my babies were no longer that. Instead they were now beautiful young women. I was ready to send them off to an all girls school, but Cora vetoed that idea.

I tried to keep things casual with Blythe but it didn't work. She was sweet, and fun and just sort of struck a cord with me like...Cora did. Of all the women I'd dated, Blythe was only the second one to really meet Mom and Sha. They both took a liking to her. When the girls came to visit she was happy to meet them. She'd get up in the mornings and fix them breakfast since she didn't approve of me feeding them pop-tarts and other non-healthy options.

Going Solo: Davis Gen 3.5

It was my senior year. I never thought I'd make it. Mom and I still hung out from time to time. I was kicking her butt at table tennis.

I spent a lot of time keeping in top physical shape. Mom and Sha spent a lot of time making out. Mom also finally took a liking to Rascal.

It wasn't that she didn't like him, she just wasn't has interested in him as Sha and I were. Now days it was mostly Sha. My birthday finally rolled around. Mom and Sha threw me a party. Dad and Elise flew in, it was EPIC.

Fawn even came home from college to be there. Ever since prom, she'd thought we were 'officially' dating. I'm sure she'd hooked up with some guys at college, but when she came home she was all over me. Not that I minded.

Graduation day as great. Mom and Sha were shocked to find out I had the highest GPA and took Valedictorian. What can I say...I had great tutors. They weren't shocked that I was voted Most Popular.

I had gotten an athletic scholarship to Uni. Girls dug jocks and I was looking forward to cashing in on that status. With my moving date fast approaching, I thought it best to let Fawn know we needed to see other people.

I just didn't want her holding on to some idea of us getting married and having babies. Neither of those options are in my life plans! No wifey and no kids. It's going to be the bachelor lifestyle for me. She was not happy to get that message, especially via a text message, but she was gone back to school plus having a long drawn out conversation on the phone was time not well spent.

My life is pretty typical, well other than I have two 'moms', I don't see it that way. I see it as Mom and Sha, cuz that's what I call her.

The house felt empty without Davis. I missed him terribly. I called him nearly everyday but he would only speak to me for a few minutes. Boyd said he was doing well. He was spending time with his younger brother and had even seen my mom a few times. Each time Boyd mentioned how happy Davis was, I worried more and more that he wouldn't want to come back. Sha and I put the wedding plans on hold. It was her idea. She saw how upset Davis' attitude towards us made me, so thought we should wait to see how things played out with him. I was grateful for her understanding and support.

Puppy ownership did have it's down. Rascal had a few incidents in the house. Sha was good about correcting his behavior and cleaning up after him. Making the adjustment from having a toddler to have a kid was still a work in progress for me. I wanted to do more things for Davis, but he wanted to be a big boy and do it himself.

"Looking for you. You are a hard woman to find. Took the PI I hired weeks to locate you."

I thought back and remembered the guy that was taking pictures. He was a PI? Hired by Boyd? Suddenly I was very nervous. How long had that guy been following me? Did he know where Sha and I lived? Had he seen Davis? That last question was the most worrisome.

"Why were you looking for me?"

He gave me a smile, the one that used to make my heart beat a little faster and he took a step closer.

Davis was the apple of my eye, and Sha's as well. He was a sweet little boy and we really got into a routine with the parenting. Life was good, he was smart and picked up walking and talking rather quickly.

Davis had both Sha and I wrapped around his little finger. He was adorable, and generally a very good baby. I would spend hours just watching him sleep. Sha and I split the late night feedings and diaper changes. The doctors said we wouldn't know until his birthday if he had inherited his father's vampire genes or not. It was a 50/50 chance he could be a vampire. I hoped he'd be human, but it if he was a vamp, I'd learn all I could so that I could make sure he grew up properly.

Mom and Dad came to visit. They were instantly in love with Davis and I barely got to hold him while they were here. Mom was even talking about retiring so she could move closer. I  noticed while she and Dad were here, that they seemed to be 'extra' close. I'd never had any illusions about their relationship growing up, but I had to admit it was nice to see my parents together.

Two days later I was standing in front of Shasha's lovely Victorian home. It was a large place with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. She said it was a family home that had been in the family for generations. Since the passing of her grandmother, it was just her and her sister, but she'd recently gotten married and moved. Being in Moonlight Falls was a lot different than Brideport, the air was cleaner, fresher. You could hear bird chirping, it was nice.

I woke up the next morning with a heavy heart. I looked at the picture on my desk from prom and I got angry. Picking it up I dumped it in the trash then called Mom. In times like these, not matter how grown you are, you need your mommy. She said she'd be right over. I also called Shasha, but she was at work so I had to leave a message. Mom arrived around thirty minutes later and instantly pulled me into a hug.
